Lowering Idle Fuel Pressures

I have a 97 Civic EX supercharged (9 psi) with RC 310cc injectors. Stock fuel pressure regulator help the idle fuel pressure at 40 psi. I purchased a B&M commandflo hoping to lower this pressure, however to my frustration, this wasn't the case. Any suggestions? I recently purchased a cartech FMU from Jim (hasn't arrived yet), but will this help? I'm tired of buying plugs every other week!

The problem is the return orifice inside the stock regulator. Remember that the B&M simply makes the stock regulator adjustable. You must either replace it with a Holley or AEM, or create a bypass using the ENDYN mod or Rafe mod. Do a search on these and you can get full instructions... or check the ENDYN web site for their mod.

It is very simple you take the reg off the car and drill a .030 (approx) from the inside inlet at an angle toward the exit the steeper the angle the beter. Because you are drilling into a round tube you will have to start drilling strait and then go at an angle and dont forget to clean up after yourself. I had to go all the way to .085 before I could get my pressure were I wanted. Also remember you are only drilling into the tube and not thru the other side so as soon as you break thru stop.
